Divisions of Girls Fast Pitch Softball
8U: Players 6-8 years old as of January 1 of the registration year.
The 8U softball division is a combo player pitch and tee usage. At this level 11 inch softballs are used. Players begin to learn the fundamentals of the game. There is no stealing at this level, but there is usually plenty of offense. There are usually one or two coaches on the field to guide the players during the game. No score is kept.
10U: Players 8-10 years old as of January 1 of the registration year.
The 10U softball division is a combination of player and coach pitched. At this level 11 inch softballs are used. Players continue to learn the fundamentals of the game. Stealing is allowed.
12U: Players 10-12 years old as of January 1 of the registration year.
The 12U softball division is player only pitched. At this level 12 inch softballs are used. Players continue to learn the fundamentals of the game while focusing in on infield and/or outfield skills.
14U: Players 12-14 years old as of January 1 of the registration year.
The 14U softball division is player only pitched. At this level 12 inch softballs are used. Players continue to learn/refine the fundamentals of the game while focusing in on infield and/or outfield positions. Preparations for high school athletics are introduced.
18U: Players 14-18 years old as of January 1 of the registration year.
This is a 12” fast pitch league open to both girls who play on high school teams, travel teams and recreation leagues. Games begin shortly after the end of high school season, and are concentrated in June and July. There is a post-season tournament for all teams.
