Villa Park Warriors Travel Baseball is the highest level of competition
Villa Park Youth Baseball has to
offer. The league focuses on fundamentals, team play, and character development. Teams play
in travel leagues in the Chicagoland area as well as local and out of state tournaments. We are
a local organization that will develop local players as they prepare for High School. Our goal is
to develop competitive fundamentally sound baseball players and prepare to play at the High
School level.
Players are selected for Travel teams through an open tryout process.
The travel program includes the following:
• Fall practices and scrimmages.
•Winter workouts and practices
• WSBL spring season & playoffs
• 3 to 5 tournaments (team specific)

How Do I Play For Villa Park Warriors Travel Baseball?
Teams are formed from tryouts that occur in mid-July for the following Spring’s season. Rosters will be 10-12 players and rosters will be determined by
independent evaluators, skilled baseball coaches and the VPYB Travel Commissioner. Teams will
be managed by volunteers that are approved by the VPYB Travel Commissioner and the VPYB
Executive Board.
**Please note, players will be trying out for the age that he/she will be in the following season.
Your child's playing age is their age on April 30, 2025. All players are encouraged to play with
their grade level, but exceptions can be made if determined appropriate by the VPYB Executive
Board.
When Are Tryouts?
Tryouts for the 2026 Season are TBD. Check back in the summer 2025 for more details.

What Is the Expected Commitment?
All teams will partake in a variety of off-season workouts and instruction.
Games will begin in early April
and go through to the end of July. Most age groups will travel out of town for at least
one tournament.
**15U & 16U - starts last week of May through July. Expect 2-3 weekday games and 1-2 travel tournaments in the Midwest region.**
How Much Are The Players’ Fees for Villa Park Travel
Baseball?
Each travel player will have a baseline fee of $1000 for returning VP travel players (returning from the prior season only) and $1250 for new VP travel players plus a fundraising commitment TBD. $250 payment will be due upon accepting a spot on a team for returning players. $300 payment will be due upon accepting a spot on a team for new players. Fees cover uniforms, WSBL league fees, a
portion of off-season conditioning, insurance and some tournament entry fees among other expenses. Teams traveling
outside of the state or stay to play tournaments can expect to incur more costs and fundraise separately for those items . The Villa Park
Youth Baseball Executive Board can increase player fees prior to the start of a new season.
