Final Events for the 2016 Season

Dear VPYB Families,

A HUGE “Thank you” goes out to all of the volunteers, families, players and fans for a FUN and EXCITING All Star/World Series Weekend.  Fantastic job by all the girls and boys who played hard and gave it their all on 3 very hot days!  Congratulations to the 12U Wildcats who beat Addison in the 5 Star Championship game 11-10 on Saturday night and to the 14U Thunder, runners up in their division!

We hope you can join us for our final VPYB events of the 2016 Season:

4th of July Parade

Formation begins at 10:30 am on Monday July 4th at the Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot on Ardmore Ave in Villa Park (across from library).  VPYB is typically near the end of the lineup.  You can ask for help finding us when you arrive.  You are welcome to bring non-chocolate candy to pass out and please remember to bring water bottles & stay hydrated.

The Parade route is approximately 2 miles.  It will step off at 12:00 pm, going west on Central to Harvard, South on Harvard to Madison, East on Madison to Summit, North on Summit to Park, West on Park to Ardmore for dispersal.

Please Note: Due to serious accidents in a past Parade, there will be absolutely no water implements allowed. This will be strictly enforced by the Villa Park Police Department along the parade route for both spectators and participants. All water implements found will be confiscated at the beginning of the parade.

Friday July 8th:  Coaches Softball Game/ Pool Party

6:00-8:00 at Jefferson Field 2

Come out and watch the managers and coaches play a fun game of 16” Softball!  Managers & coaches, please contact Bill Kingsbury if you are planning to play.

The family fun continues at our annual pool party at Jefferson Pool (FREE to all VPYB Participants & families only)
